i second the motion proposed by harelequino above:
copy the .VOB files to your desktop from the DVD
convert them using VisualHub
if your clients are on PC, they might have trouble viewing .mp4, i recommend exporting them as .avi.
i don't like .avi, but it's the easiest format for people on pc.upload away.
