i've never ran into an instance where you can go buy a g5 case, then add some hardware....
i can pick up pc parts pretty much anywhere and build a cheap, custom, high-end pc.
and, building a dual processor mac to compete with a single processor pc isn't much of an accomplishment. that's apples and oranges.
of course a dual system preforms similar or better than a single, that's why it's a dual.
my dual 800 sgi out preforms my 2.4g single any day....the architecture break thread usage up among the processors...that's why duals are good.
