Be honest. Your 'folio should be the bulk of the story rather than the situation in which you worked.
We've all seen 'folios from designers out of large agencies and you wonder how much they actually did, and how much was 'the team'.
Coming from freelance the work is more about you and your skills, and they're what you're selling.Just don't let it appear you were freelance because you couldn't hold down a job!
