with so many ways of selling stuff online, it is only a logical step for designers to create something not for a certain client, but for a broad audience, fonts, themes, apps, posters, tshirts, some crazy products. I've been doing this design service + product sales thing for about 2 years now, and I'm coming to conclusion that selling products is simply more profitable than selling services.
