  I have noticed that a malfunctioning Time Machine can generate lots of log files, in fact it completely filled up one client's machine. You may have had some such administrative clutter which was cleared out during the upgrade.

  Keep an eye on disk space, if you find it free space going down w/o activity on your part look for causes.

  • this actually could be it had some problems with time machine a while back. and would explain the size of spaceRavdyk
