I revived an old Toronto thread a couple weeks ago asking for suggestions and got some great ones. It had been awhile since I had been, but we would visit once a year while I was growing up Michigan. Coming from NYC now and having recently been to Montreal, Toronto wasn't as big or as european feeling as I remembered it. Still, the rawness of the city and realness of the people make it a great place. It's always felt very blue collar - rock n roll - drink beer and watch hockey to me... and that is why I love it.

AGO is a great museum. The Gehry additions are fab and I'm not a fan of his work, and the permanent collection is great too.
The Distillery area was new to me and a good place to wander around for a bit. I ended up really taking a real liking to Mill St Beer, but still love being able to buy Molson when I visit. Kensington Market was cool and the strip along Queen W. is worth strolling about as well hitting the galleries and the Gladstone... I even bought a credenza from Gus Modern. I found the Little Italy area a bit underwhelming, and the food in general to be "just ok"... i really wanted some good pho, but maybe just ended up at the wrong places.

Regardless, these Toronto people here on QBN know their shit. Listen to their recommendations and you can't go wrong.
