Photography in books though... books can be any size, they can be vast and dramatic, they can be produced using specialised processes, stochastic screens at ultra high definition, with images seperated hexachromatically and printed with high fidelity inks, and with spot colours, spot varnishes, under prints, overprints, underpants and overalls, on smooth or glossy, thick and lustrous or thin and ephemeral stocks... there's a whole multi-dimensional universe of possibility with printing photographs in books.
Computer screens? default is the optimim. 800x600. thousands of dithered squares, a mosaic of crude colours hinting at the object they represent.Horp, sept. 6, 09
