    I love how Canon segments the market in order to squeeze more money from its clients.

    5D has a weaker AF and a slow shutter (3fps) only to ensure pro sport photographers are forced to buy expensive pro cameras, ie. 1D.
    Lower shelf 50D has a faster shutter than 5D. Even the old 20D had 5fps.

    Apparently pros didn't buy enough 50D's, so Canon renamed its successor to a "pro" single digit 7D.
