    one major reason for changing from SS to GS:

    The php/mysql versions oon SS are now legacy and no longer supported by MT. This affects many things. The biggest being that most current CMS's require newer versions of php/mysql to run correctly.

    I also think the GUI / server management on their website makes browsing through settings and server-side software a breeze.

    Oh, beside that, it's totally free to switch from SS to the GS-lite.
