Pirates, obviously...
They get to travel on sailing ships, literally have access to any coastal region in the world by way of sailing the seven seas.
Ninjas just live in Tokyo. No, offense, Tokyo, but why favor ninjas when there are people who are equally as tough, if not tougher. Pirates have swords, and live on ships for crying out loud.
Pirates, hands down. How could you choose ninjas?
I can go on and on and on with the advantages.
