I went and got myself the "iphone apps for dummies" book, started reading through it and got to the bit where it says "you need to buy a mac", then stopped.
I'd love to beable to build apps or at least have a good understanding of them so I can design and part-build them then hand over to programmer to build.
Got to get some cash aside to get a mac.If you arent a programmer then the C++ or objective looks pretty hardcore - to me anyway.
Like folk said previously too other hurdles are dealing with the apple processes of getting it ok'd by them before you can even test it on a phone rather than the simulator (in which all features dont work).
If you are just going to be doing a one off app for a client you'd prob be best approaching acompany that does them all the time to save a lot of time and hassle, but prob notmoney - although it might balance out.
