the whole scrappage scheme is a clear example of the unsustainability of current economic model.
i'm sure if aliens landed they would be confused about how most societies make money i.e. dig lots os stuff out of ground, use loads of energy and chemicals making it into something, sell it, have people use it for a short while and then chuck it back into the ground.
and now because the system is so linear we have government paying people to get rid of their shit quicker.,
