Proper age?

  Yeah, "proper" in the sense that it seems so many woman have them now, I'm wondering what the appropriate age is for someone to get them. Like getting pierced ears.

  Obviously, it would be daft to get them before the girl goes through puberty. But, is it considered totally gross to the get them during High School? Between High School and College? Not until she gets a job? When is too soon?
