I use an A5 tablet, as A4 ones are just too frickin' huge for my needs, and my knees.
It's a Wacom Intuos2, and it's extremely good. I use an intuos1 at home. £270 or thereabouts, so prolly a touch over 300 dollars. But they are excellent tabs.
