don't take it too seriously, TM. this shit is everywhere. you just have experienced it with one of the most profitable companies in the world. it's ugly, but your boss was surely happy to have them as clients.
oh, and on in-house teams — depends on the structure. P&G don't have anyone in-house (or do not rely heavily on them, in that respect). and they still make huge money. I am the in-house team, and the company actually loses money on me...
