    Culturally, we tend to impose western ideals on others with out thinking through the implications that we might cause to their livelihood. It does not matter what they actually think, we think that they do not have the capacities to think for themselves. The west is the perpetrator of the assimilation around the world. Yet when someone imposes their will or culture up on us, the west defends it vigorously.
