  It's not the size of your lens, it's how you use it.

  Sound advice in this thread, especially "shoot more",
  but if everything else fails:
  find a photographer you like, and copy his style until you got it right enough to branch out with your own style from that.

  Or alternativly: be an assistant for a while.
  (To a photographer, if that clarification was needed)
