Well it is true that the price of goods tend to drop over time as the means of production get more efficient. I think we are seeing a similar thing with virtual things like design and programming.
And that may be a good thing, because it reduces the barrier to entry for people who might have a good business idea but not the millions that a young Bill Gates had access to.
