Do not use an SSD as your boot drive. They are very fast for handling certain types of data, but you don't want your OS on one. If I had more time I would list some of the info, but just google them to find out more.
Windows currently also has issues with them. Which is yet another reason they are good for a secondary drive, but not a primary.
