    I heard Garret Brown was in Mexico having drinks at a bar on a beach and the waiter would deliver the drinks on his bicycle and he had a platform that the drinks were on, that was balanced on the bike frame with weighted bars on each side, and he noticed that he never spilled a drink. So maybe Garret Brown was the first to "patent" and apply the idea to cameras, but not the person who invented it. So it must have been a Mexican who invented it.
