Carry on. Milan has great opportunities. I like your work, I'm sure you won't have any problems finding some work.
I suggest not to live near the Duomo or that area because it's pretty darn crowed and expensive.
The Navigli is pretty good, and lots going on all the time, pubs, restaurants, etc.Even though we study english at school, we suck at it, so be ready for some interesting conversations. But we try, even though we might sound funny!
