    stay away from fanueil hall, unless you love the idea of mall food courts.

    in cambridge i go to
    east coast bar and grill (raw bar+bbq)
    cuchi cuchi (great food+aesthetic, more expensive tho)
    friendly toast (great for breakfast)
    christina's (home made ice cream)

    brookline-
    dok bua- great thai food
    village smokehouse (great bbq)

    uhm, 'boston' magazine did a large listing of these recently.
