Only south beach is what you describe
South Florida has waaaaaayyy more to offer than clubs
outdoorsy stuff is fantastic.
it's hot as shit most of the time, but at least you can go to the beach in November & December for the most part.
You're a half day drive from Orlando, West coast florida, the keys....lot's of cool little places to explore.
Miami has a TON of nice restaurants
It's kinda of like LA....but not nearly as sucky as LA
Parts of Miami...you'll feel you're in central america.....but I kinda like that...learning spanish definetly a plus
pletty of gorgeous non fake women
all in all though...if you can't stand heat or sun or the beach...I'm not sure you'd be very keen.....if you like those things....you won't find a much better place. It's sunny like 300 days out of the year.
