I can think of the a couple of uses:
* client wants a form adding to site -> mock up form in pencil -> send screen shot .. they okay -> you add.
* designing the admin interface for a new CMS module -> need to add screenshots of proposed interface to report -> mock up in pencil -> add screen shot
This might be basic .. but farting around with interface component graphics in something like illustrator is a hassle.
