I think in a professional office with professional design needs you have to have the highest resolution possible... you can test on 1024x768 (I think it's estimated that 46% of regular web users now use that resolution) but to authopr on it in a fast-paced environment is insame.
granted, I do it and at 800x600 on the run... but I am a one man show most of the time. At work (which is print based, mind you) we are using a much friendlier resolution.. and we don't have to author anything.
Tell him KINKO'S uses a greater resolution, damnit!
