I got made redundant just before xmas because I was the most expensive to employ of the two designers in our studio. Our boss had a reputation as a difficult man so I persuaded my colleague to find another job. Once he handed in his notice my ex boss told me I could keep my job. By then I had found a much better job so I politely declined. He was without any studio staff for 3 months and had to use expensive freelancers for quite a while to meet client demands (including a friend of mine who needed the work). Made me feel good for a while anyway.
