It's fantastic that people are experimenting with these technologies, however I don't think that car would be very safe.
Apart from the obvious Hindenburg style explosion and fires, there doesn't seem to be any safety cell, firewall, and I'm doubtful there is ESC or any airbags either. That would probably double the weight and halve the mileage.
Still, even a quarter of that mileage would beat the pants of anything the auto makers are putting out. (Except for the pure Electrics with extremely short ranges)
