    dame viv westwood was on jonathan ross on friday night and quoted a projection, haven't followed up on the science behind it, but it's quite shocking:

    by 2050 there will be 10 billion people on the planet.
    by the end of the century there will be 1 billion people on the planet.

    it's enough to depress anyone.
