It's like witnessing the slow, crumbling death of our civilization and the media that sucks blood off it's corpse. Hey! A crazy subprime mortgage situation? Let's run hour after hour of programming on people "flipping houses" and running up huge amounts of household debt remodeling or building shit we don't need. Let's feature friendly real estate agents who will get that bank loan for anyone at ridiculous amounts of money! Yup. It's easy! Just like on TV. Oh..what? Oh, the whole shit exploded? OK, let's run lot's of programs featuring the violent reacquisition of all the same shit we just spent years of programming telling you was your right and duty as an American to get.
