I was just about to repeat what moamoa said - I don't see why you'd need to overly brand yourself. A decent logotype should suffice, and you seem to be capable of making them! If you do want to stick with your pseudo-heraldric form, I'd consider removing the unnervingly prophylactic-like elements jutting out of each side.
My only other suggestion would be to introduce some Lazy Loader type JS functionality to increase the page load time and bring in an element of dynamism to the site, but hey, that's just me.
