It's definitely not the ideal place to spend the summer in the city as it's on the opposite side of the park and looks like the only access is the 2&5 trains. You'll probably like the Park Slope side of Prospect Park much better. I say keep looking.
Go to padmapper.com and search a brooklyn zipcode for sublets, and keep hitting craigslist in the meantime.
