best buds with one of the white sox players
was approached by sandra bullock at a nightclub in austin texas a LONG time ago. he said to come down and meet me in her limo so we could go to another bar together. i told her ok and i'd meet her in 5 minutes after i found my friends to tell them i was leaving. after a few minutes of searching for my asshole friends and another 10 trying to make my way down from the 3rd floor, to the exit at the 1st of a more than packed club, when i finally got to where she said the limo was it had already pulled away and was turning the corner at the next light. to this day i haven't forgiven those assholes.
golfed with ed farmer of the score 670 and beat him by two shots. he had to buy me a steak dinner. (we had a bet)
met and hung out with nolan ryan for the day when i was a kid. my best buds dad was a pitcher for the angels who played with nolan back in the 70s. when nolan played for texas and they were in town playing against the white sox by buddy's dad took us down to the park to say hi. he got us into the tunnel and clubhouse and we got to walk around the field for a while before the game. it was awesome.
got shitfaced with robbie gould of the chicago bears at a kenny chesney (sp?) concert. he was also one of the guests in the suite we watched the show from.
met dave matthews at a bar down in UofI back in 1994 or so. i was at a table of some shitty bar with 5 girls i knew from college. we were drinking pitchers at an off hour of the day and we were all joking around and having a good time. this guy walks over and starts chatting it up with us (the girls mostly) and started asking if anyone was going to the dm concert the next day. the girls were all like "omg i love him" and started to sing one of his songs. he stopped them and said that's not how it's sang, this is and proceeded to take off his baseball cap and sing the song. it was dave matthews. he was a super cool dude who gave us all free tickets.
