My parents rescued two greyhounds which already had names...and tattoos of their crate numbers. Their names were Alex and Marianne. Stupid, but they'd already started responding to it, so that's what they kept. I think it would've been funnier to call them Crate: #145856, Crate: #145859, respectively.
