Notorious as possibly the worst video game of all time (it was developed in just five weeks), it involves E.T. doing little more than checking wells for pieces of a phone. Atari infamously manufactured more cartridges than there were consoles to play them on and ended up burying the spare ones in a landfill site, precipitating the market crash of 1983.
