Today, I won't argue with you, because it friday, i'm drinking a nastro azzuro and do not wish to talk astronomy.
2012 has a significance in a subtile but serious way, no there won't be a rapture nor doomsday but go on the nasa site and do a search for solar cycles. actually google it or bing it...
