marco - leading will depend on the font. Generally sans serif fonts need more leading than serifs due to a higher x-height. Set the type and have a look at the character count per page, readability (taking into account the age/vision of readers), and the overall "colour" of the page.
Find a font with small caps, titling and old fashioned figures etc. that is easy to read and without too much character.
