powerful enough to do design on them too.. and don't say they're not.. cos people did work on slower computers back in the day :P
monitors not bad, specs are decent, price is decent. if your on a budget, why not? even if your not on that much of a budget you can add an printer, ipod, scanner, camera etc without spending 'too much'
i went for the powerbook myself though in the end... but that was only cos i hate sitting in one place all of the time.
