I get that a lot too, very rarely that a client will not like the first designs i do.
It's usually the really small jobs where you've scoped doing a logo might take you a few hours so dont charge a lot, then it turns out they are the fussiest bastard ever and you go well over time allocated to the job to finally get something they are happy with.
And it's not that the designs are crap, its just that they are a fussy bastard.
