on the last leg of a month long road trip, we got pulled over doing 83 in a 75 by the deputy.
after some questions they said they were about to search the car, we said no and k9 showed up 2 minutes later...
it tapped on my door after a walk around. i got out and after a thorogh search (took out 3 weeks of camping gear and clothes, etc) they found about a joint's worth of smoke under the mat.
Meanwhile the sheriff pulled up. 18 hours and 500 bucks (each) later we walked and now we're headed back for court. Talked to a lawyer and they told us to just go with a state defender and play along.
After some research I found a $1k fine and 0 - 6 months for anything under an ounce. All around shitty situation. Completely benign and retarded, but it's about 22 hours from here.
Fuck it, just hoping we make it back by the end of the week.
The guy I shared a cell with was looking at 10 years and $15k bail...
I offered him my cookies, and proceeded to call people for bail.
