  That kind of saddens me. I grew up in Northwest Ohio and spent a lot of time in Detroit. There are a lot of beautiful buildings/structures in that city that are sitting empty. I don't think Detroit is ever going to be what it was so it probably makes sense to level the blighted areas. But living in a city (Boston) where any empty building seems to be grabbed immediately and developed, I wish the buildings in Detroit had the same opportunity.

  • Detroit has (had) some incredible architecture. It's, what we would call, warehouse district, is amazing. There are rotting mansions near the downtown.Josev
