First of all, you should check out the reviews on Yelp.com. This site is the place to look when you are confused about restaurants. If I were you, I would take them to a French restaurant called Balthazar. My girl and I have been for brunch, dinner, and always see someone famous. Jules on St. Marks is also a good place, and parent-proof.
I agree with arms on NINJA, that place is a circus (but it is not thai). The best Thai in NY is Sea or Joya (both on Brooklyn but worth the trip).- omg as a new yorker who lives in brooklyn, SEA is by far one of the worst in nyc.e-pill
- goto Thai Pavillion in Astoria on 30th ave.e-pill
- i guess for tourists SEA must be like visiting disneyland...e-pill
- i like how they used Sea as the ridiculous "LA restaurant" in GardenState.Douglas
- SEA is good for delivery, I actually haven't been to the restaurant.bump79
