http://freewilliamsburg.com/And just thought of one pretty good tip... You could try SOUTH Williamburg, near the JMZ elevated rail where the Hassidic Jewish and Dominican neighborhoods come together. It might look gritty on the outside, but there are many hidden gems around here (e.g. Moto) and the access to Lower Manhattan is 10 minutes.
