    ukit - it's not that clear cut. In the UK there is a lot of anger at local issues and these get reflected in the results. The right wing media have also inflated a recent scandal regarding politicial expenses into something that is being used to attack the current government (even though it was an all party scandal)

    when you look at the actual margins and numbers of votes in the context of the voting system you see a different picture.

    there are odd things occuring in the UK e.g. in Wales the Tories topped the european vote and this is the first time Labour hasn't led the polls since 1922.

    as for the BNP... voting a person who was involved in the national front and has been involved in fascist politics for decades is more worrying than euro-skepticism.
