When I first used this 'associate to' method on newstoday, no one knew what it stood for. In the years since, I've been delighted to see its use spread throughout this site. I'm hoping that it will eventually spread throughout cyberspace, because I've always wondered what it would be like to have invented a piece of common parlance. In pursuit of this lifelong goal, I encourage anyone to use this associative method of thread-making as often as possible IRL and on other sites. Many thanks.

    • We get it, you're amazing. I swear this is starting to sound redundant.bump79
    • it's a joke, it's OK that you don't get it—i obviously didn't invent 'associate to' threads.francoisfido
    • i'm also making fun out of Rand's claim of having invented GFY a long time ago. they're his words not mine.francoisfido
