When I moved house a few years ago in London in began riding to work on my flatmates bmx because the transport links were a pain in the ass. I hadn't rode a bmx for about 8 years and thought I still had the skills to perform tricks. Well, I was riding along Blackstock Road towards Finsbury Park when I approached a huge line of traffic and thought f*ck this, pavement jobbie! I tried to bunny hop up the curb onto the empty pavement and by-pass it all. Unfortunately my back tire clipped the curb and I flipped over the handle bars and landed flat on my back. I got up promptly, bowed to the school kids pissing themselves laughing as they waited in the bus stop opposite and I rode off slightly embarrassed. Needless to say I quickly brushed up on my tricks (I mean obeyed the rules of the road ever since).
