Why not have tests for cyclists like other road users? In cities bikes are often the fastest form of transport, otherwise courier companies wouldn't use them. As it is any old fuckbutton can go and buy a bike and become an instant menace to everyone on the streets.
And for any London cyclists who think they have it bad. I went everywhere on 2 wheels for years in London with all the usual cab/bus/people/ frustrations. Then I tried cycling in Sydney... I'd rather frame myself for drug trafficking than try that again.
