I commute approximately 1 hr each way, 5 days a week. Typically this amounts to 2-2 1/2 hours a day on the road (depending on traffic). If i can do this day in, day out, you can certainly pull 30-40 minutes.
Now sure, some of you might think i'm crazy. But I actually enjoy where I live very much. I'm literally out in the sticks. Actually I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. And a longer commute more than justifies living where I do.
However, gas is getting ever more costly. I can squeeze my 2007 ford focus for about 34-36 MPG when I drive like a gas nazi and this will typically get me back and forth 4 days a week. Gassing up the tank is roughly $25, more when the price goes up. In the summer/middle of winter my MPG is significantly lessened due to running of AC / Heat.
Anyway, I just wanted to say. Quit bitching and buck up and drive or move closer.
