    USAGE!

Standard photo business practice is to ALMOST NEVER give all rights to the image. Why?!? The VALUE of an image depends on what they use it for, not how long it took you to make the photograph. For example, say they use the image in a magazine ad in Oprah Magazine, the page rate is in the 5 figures or sometimes 6 figures for national magazine ads, you should get a cut of that, because if they didn't have your image, they wouldn't have bought that ad space..... Then, later, say they wanted to use it in a book, say the print run of the book is 10,000 copies, and each copy sells for $30, and there are 60 images in there, you should get a cut of that too.... and... well, you get the idea, they're getting a STEAL for the value of this image and you're giving up potential income, therefore the "all rights" price to any image has to account for the POTENTIAL USAGE FEES LOST.....
