after exclusively wearing boots for around a decade then switching to chucks about a year ago, i've become more and more disenchanted with the whole shoe-tying thing. i find myself tying and retying these shits four or five times a day because one will become loose (despite my brilliant idea of double-tying them to prevent such a scenario) and feel unbalanced tightness-wise. it appears the "tongue" bit prefers to slide off to one side like a freeloading layabout rather than remaining in the center as is its duty (whatever that may be), which in turn initiates the looseness effect i just described. i can feel the tongue of my right shoe thinking about it right now as i type, just waiting for the moment i drop my guard and stop paying attention, like a school kid waiting till the coach isn't looking to have a spliff behind the bleachers. well not today. today that shit's not gonna get the best of me. today i'm TAKING BOTH OF THEM OFF.
try it now, bitches.

- I tie mine weirdly (I learned a different way as a child). But now I just tie them loosely and leave them. Never re-tie.juhls
