I am resurrecting this thread again. 2 false alarms - first time we ended up moving to NYC since my GF got into grad school, last year i ended up being really sick again and had to do some time in the hospital so we had to stick around.
This year for sure - we are moving. We are heading out there in a couple weeks to look for places.
Criteria are as follows:
1. safe enough place not to worry about being jumped into an MS13 clique.
2. nice quality place. clean, etc. newer appliances, W/D, etc.
3. nice price, we have been paying over $50/sq ft for our place in NYC, so we really want a reprieve from that. 1bd or 2bd in the 900-1200 range.
4. I dont mind living outside the city since i dont have to communte, but my GF does, so maybe not too far away.
5. has parking lot, i dont want to fudge around trying to find street parking all the time.We saw some places in teh Belmar area of Lakewood, which i hear is a decent area. Any advice would be appreciated.
